I recently received an invitation for a new challenge from Dr. Oetker in the "Easter, skilled chefs are rewarded!" and I answered again with great pleasure!
My childhood memories do not smell of alivenci or pies on my lap, like Creangă's, but of pancakes. It had fluffy, reddish and steamy pancakes, from which the scent of freshly made jam in a cauldron in my grandparents' yard crept up to my nostrils ...
My kitchen beginnings were classics. First, the remote sniff. Then, step by step, entering the kitchen and curious study of utensils. This was followed by the licking of the creams on all the spoons and bowls that my mother used when she was preparing to pamper us with sweets. And the transfer of passion, from mother to daughter, for the kitchen :)
There was no weekend without pancakes at home or on holiday in the country. So the first time something edible came out of my hands was pancakes. The "material" I could have ruined was neither much nor pretentious, so I played at will. Yes, I escaped a few on foot, I piled up others in the pan, but in the end I got about 2-3 grandmothers. My first victory in the kitchen! I improved along the way, and now I often make fluffy, brown and steaming pancakes that bring the smell of my childhood to the kitchen.
Here is the simple and very easy recipe:
- 700 ml milk or mineral water
- 2 eggs
- 2 sachets of vanilla sugar Dr.Oetker
- a teaspoon of Dr.Oetker vanilla essence
- 3 tablespoons oil
- as much flour as it contains
- a pinch of salt
Preparation time: less than 15 minutes
RECIPE PREPARATION Pancakes with jam:
Beat eggs with vanilla sugar and a pinch of salt, using a whisk. Incorporate the oil and then a little milk or mineral water. Add flour in the rain, stirring constantly so that no lumps form, until the dough becomes creamy, like sour cream. Add the vanilla essence at the end.
Grease the pancake pan with oil and let it heat up well. Using a polish, pour the composition into the pan and spread it lightly over the entire surface, tilting the pan. Allow to brown on one side, peel off the pancake with a spatula and turn on the other side. If you know how, you can return them by throwing :)
We ate them with homemade apricot jam.
You can also put grated lemon peel in the dough, for a more intense flavor.
